Congratulations to the CMS Wind Ensemble! The Wind Ensemble scored "1" Superior from all three judges and on sight reading last night at the Middle School Band assessment. This is the highest score possible in the assessment.

Congratulations to Lauren Kantelis (bassoon), Kevin Xu (trumpet), and Kenneth Xuan (euphonium) for performing in the Maryland All State Junior Band 2011. The All State Jr Band concert took place Sunday, February 27 at 1 PM. It was an intensive weekend of rehearsals, 10 hours on Saturday alone, but our students loved it and performed brillantly!

Congratulations to the following band students for being accepted into the Symphonic Orchestra 2011- Piccolo - Lynette Lee, Flutes - Emily Luo, Tushaar Khurana, Atman Panigrahi, Clarinets - Jung Won Kim, Kaitlyn Kim, Nicholas Zhao, Bassoon - Lauren Kantelis, Trumpet - Kevin Xu, David Wang, Trombones - Reed Scherer, David London, Tubas - Austin Cooper-Troendle, Sam Gift.

The following CMS students were accepted into the 2010 Howard County GT band - Atman Panigrahi, Lynette Lee, Emily Luo, Jungwon Kim, Jennifer Lu, Lauren Kantelis, Kevin Xu, David Wang, Kenneth Xuan, and Sam Gift. The following CMS students were also selected as alternates for the GT band - Allan Levy, Isabella Lennon, and David London. Congratulations to everyone that auditioned.

Allan Levy, Isabella Lennon, David London, Nile Liu, and Chun Kit Loke were selected to perform in the Howard County Honors Band. Congratulations!
